Makes you wonder why crouch walking was never included in the first place. I remember seeing some beta footage of Snake in MGS1 crouch walking but you couldn't do it in the final release of the game.

Between this and MGS2 SOL modders making the game third person, it really does show missed potential of the Master Collection. Makes me wish Konami put more effort into the collection itself to add things such as third person in MGS2 SOL and crouch walk in MGS3 SE. I still enjoy the collection though.

It just breaks the balance of the game...
I like that MGS 1-3 were unique on no crouch mechanics, because they are way too op and mainstream

The original game didn't have crouch walk for the same reason it didn't allow you to aim in first person and move at the same time. It contributes to the general atmosphera, tension and stealth attributes of the game. It's all part of kojima's genius.
