I have actually had this machine for 4 years and love it. I'm 67 years old and have spent a lifetime cooking for my family using a vast variety of cuisines. I have arthritis in my hands and its painful to do things like chopping and kneading bread. The Thermomix does so much more than the few things they demonstrated, and it helps to not create a pile of dirty dishes and utensils. Don't knock it until you've spoken to people who have and use it!

I'll wait 6 years and these will be $50.

Nevermind, it's been 4 years and it's still pretty expensive. I'll wait 12 years.

I've had one of these since Christmas 2018 and it's changed my life for the better. I've never been that adventurous (beans on toast was exotic), but I can now knock up some amazing dishes with ease (and it's actually fun). One of the only things to keep in mind is that if you are cooking a complex dish - it can still take a lot of time to prepare (from scratch) and that the preparation times displayed within the app/website are way off (I would double them in a lot of cases). That being said, cooking times are bang on and I have yet to make a bad meal.

Well guys, part of the reason why these are so expensive is that they are built to last. My in-laws have just replaced their TM21, which was more than 15 years old and in daily usage, not because it was broken but because the new one is better. We have bought the TM31, the predecessor to the one you are showing, in 2010 and it still works like new, and we love every bit of this machine. We lived in an apt with a tiny kitchen and not having 5 machines flying around was a huge benefit for us at the time. I know this sound weird for people who don't have one, but this is the one kitchen gadget you can't live without once you had one. Now don't laugh, but we even take it on holidays sometimes....

When you want to prepare your own fresh food for you baby without any additives, this does it like a charm. You can then freeze it in small portions and microwave it when you need it. I do a lot of tomato sauce for pasta/pizza and freeze it for later use, tastes better than anything you can buy. Want to make you own pesto and never go back to store-bought because you will love it so much? It makes a perfect roux any time, you can make your own sirups, marmelades are a whiff, smoothies are a no-brainer. Make your own yogurt, powdered sugar, even flour from whole grains or powdered parmesan, this machine does it without problems. I even once made my own Tahini with it as the store didn't have any. And a lot of things you do with it you don't have to stand there and stir it the whole time, you just set it and go prep the next steps while it is cooking, or clean up the kitchen, so it's a time saver as well.

An it doesn't take any "personal touch" out of cooking, you just stick to the recipes for a while until you get a feel for what it can do and how it's done, and then you can go and create things you like much easier than before.

I know this sounds like a too-good-to-be-true commercial, but guys, in all seriousness, if you need one kitchen gadget, this is it.

I like that they are honest in their reviews about the expensive part, and in using what we already have to make the dishes. But if I have lots of money to spare (in the future), I don't mind getting this toy. Nice.

I think this would be great in tiny kitchen where you dont have a lot of space. Also I like that you don’t have to use a lot of pots and pans. When Im done cooking there’s usually a pile of dished to wash!

In italy it's called Bimby and we love it, we have the 2nd generation for almost 25 years and it's still working, we are gonna change it soon but it's a wonderful machine, it can do a lot of things and it lasts too!

I never wanted one because I thought it is too expensive and now... I got TM6 for my birthday and I’m obsessed with it, it is just purely amazing.

This is the future of cooking. I'm excited. The microwave was $5000 when it first came out. This will get better and at a lower price and will be widely available in 10 to 20 years.

It says a lot that practically all the “negative” comments are from people who doesn’t have the machine! I can’t wait to get one myself haha

We have an older version of the thermomix without the recipe stuff and touchscreen. I really like that one.

I'm having TM 6 for 2years now, and I can't live without it. I prepared whole party for 10 people in 7 hours. All by myself. And there was everything like baked, neatly prepared (it was Halloween party so each snack was themed)

Not sure how I feel about this, even though it is really cool, it takes out a lot of the personal touch with creating a recipe.

It's a awesome gadget, we use a lot of it in the restaurant, but mostly because of its Power ( perfect smooth sauces, awesome praline, peanut butter, patte, etc)
