Professional carpet cleaner here....OK....where to start. No way 5 jobs per day, two or three max. Labor cost will far exceed 35%. Fixed and variable costs not anywhere near fully accounted for.

I’m doing about 8-12 a day all apartment carpet cleaning and the only way I can finish all in a day is pretty much rushing through each carpet clean and driving pretty much is half of the day

So you might get 3 $300 jobs a day maybe 4 if you work overtime... so $900 to $1200. You will probably be paying $300 in wages. Plus maybe $50 in fuel. As far as leads your probably going to pay $50 a job in marketing but overtime with customer repeat that will drop. You also have car insurance, workers comp, public liability etc. You have assest depreciation, car registration, car services, equipment maintenance, fuel, book keeping fees, accounting fees, if you use apps to help run your business then app fees, phone bills, office equipment, you may have equipment on finance.. so loan repayment, cleaning solutions, ongoing costs of towels and rags and work outfit

On top of that you need to account for unforseen setbacks and expenses. If you have 5 trucks on the road 7 days a week... your going to be dealing with a lot of problems. You may want to employee a manager to help. You also need to consider where these 5 trucks are going to be kept

I'm sure there is more to consider... but the point is there are a lot more expenses to consider... it's not simple math...

Im interested in how you do the marketing? I have some equipment and 20 yrs experience cleaning but I bare get a couple extra jobs per month or maybe nothing. I barely go on Nextdoor and post and get a call here and there but I’d like to have at least one a day maybe 5+ per week but how?
