this video did not help. and had nothing to do with stopping the application from running on its own.. or stop it from making it my computers defualt browser constantly on its own

I have removed Edge from my computer multiple times, and when that proved fruitless I disabled it in the start-up. That at least prevented it from running in the background. That is until recently. Yesterday I discovered not one but two edge profile icons on my desktop and it was running in the background once again. Even though I'd disabled it in the startup menu. This time I removed the contents of the Edge folder instead of removing the whole thing. Wonder how long it's going to last? Bottom line, Edge is spyware. There is absolutely no legitimate reason for a program that I don't use that isn't a system application to be running in the background.

I finally found the fix for this issue on my own: In and Browser Preferences/Open Hyperlinks from Outlook in (Change Microsoft Edge to Default Browser). That finally fixed it for me!
