I painted my room light pink and I’m doing my office light green. We have blue couches and our kitchen is painted blue. We have tons of colorful blankets, my keyboard lights up and so does my mouse. We’ve found ways to add color without it being completely repulsive like neons. And it’s honestly one of the best things my family has done.

I like gray as I feel it allows me to make more choices decorating wise. I'm an artist and when I'm proud of something I painted or created I hang it up or put it on a shelf and having that neutral gray wall does not distract from the works I decided to hang. My colors for my decorative style are purple black and gray. I like those colors best, I feel like they go with everything.

gray is my favorite color. i have some neurological conditions so bright colors can get overstimulating pretty quickly. having everything in my home be gray or close enough is really comforting for me. but even as someone who can’t take too much color at once, there could be more outside colors lol

Its always the bluish grey too… like cool toned. Warm toned greys can be pretty when used to dull down brighter colors but yeah it’s upsettingly dull with the cool toned greys

the gray effect (including other neutral colors like beige and tan) give a calming effect for people who choose it. it's not a distraction or over stimulation from their typical day that is usually already over stimulated or stressful.
