Vice President Kamala Harris is pledging to end subminimum wages for tipped workers, widening a push to eliminate taxes on tips as she jockeys with Donald Trump ahead of their first debate Tuesday.

In policy proposals posted to her website, Harris called for an increase in the overall minimum wage and for the end of the subminimum wage for tipped workers. Democrats have long pushed for the move and included it in their 2024 platform. She also reiterated a call to end taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers, a proposal Trump made first.

Congressman Dean Phillips would have been a much better Democratic nominee for President than Kamala Harris. He won far more votes and delegates in the 2024 Democratic primary process than her. Also, Dean has respect for Trump supporters and isn't a progressive.

I think they should be checked head to toe for earbuds, and any helpful devices that might help them answer any questions. There should be no monitors. The questions should be asked be the American citizens, not any media personnel. They should be allowed to 3 minutes to answer. Each should have to answer the same question. Alternate who goes first in answering.
