MY brother Ron shares his recipe for Brasato di Manzo. A simple, rustic and yummy beef braised in red wine stew!
Stew Ingredients:
2 pounds of Stew meat
1 1/2 pounds of baby Yukon gold potatoes
one whole bottle of red wine (such as Cabernet, Merlot or a red blend)
four carrots
one medium onion
three cloves garlic
one tablespoon of tomato paste
1/2 cup beef bone broth
1/4 to 1/2 cup all purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 teaspoon Rosemary
1/4 teaspoon thyme
2-3 tablespoon cooking oil (canola or vegetable is fine)

Parmesan Grits Ingredients:
one cup of grits
two cups of milk
two cups of water
one tablespoon of salt
a half a cup of grated parmesan cheese
