As a fellow vocal coach, I’m soooo thankful that someone with a high caliber like you finally said it. There are way too many misleading teachings around the singing world….
And I come from a classical background where universities offer degrees…!!!seriously, I’m so tired of voice teachers say stuff like “breath with your belly” or “sing from your diaphragm”
Please don’t ever stop preaching, you are so AMAZING❤️

Many singers say they’re vocal coaches but you, my dear, besides being an EXCELLENT singer, are a GREAT vocal coach!!!!

I totally agree! As a vocal coach I usually phrase it as where you are controlling your airflow. It’s super important to be aware of where you are feeling vibrations!

It always helped me to imagine my voice came straight out from where I was in my range - push low notes out of your pelvis, and high notes a few inches *above* your head. Helped me find support I didn't know I had and GREATLY increased my higher end of my range, because I was going for notes without tensing up as much:)

THANKS! So, my throat feels tingly after singing and warming up before then. But definitely a feeling I’ve never felt before as I have never tried singing like this

So true. You can't not use your throat. Also your diaphragm is always used too. There are just different levels of engagement and relaxation.

As soon as I sang from the throat my pitch and melody are on point. And my voice sounds so much better too. Thank you for removing that misconception. I’ve been doing it wrong this whole time because of the misinformation.

It’s not that we get a complex we’ve been told all our lives we have to sing from the diaphragm . I really love the way you explain this because it makes sense . I’ve always asked how do you sing from your diaphragm . This is why I come to your videos .
