Ive found just using Gafa tape as a chainstay protector works better than old tube, it's lighter and it looks a bit nicer too!

how did you get a pressure washer beside your trail ?

I've found that using a generous amount of fiber grip to the seatpost is best, I've pulled out many lightly fiber gripped posts with significant wear, outside layer cracking, etc, due to corrosion after only a year or so.

Another good practice is to apply a bit of suspension oil on the fork/shock stanchions and cycle the suspension a couple of times after every thorough wash.
