Best thing I have found for HRV is a short breath in and a longer breath out when you breathe

Oura ring gives a low and a high number. My HRV high number and recovery has improved a lot since I started taking Taurine.

I'm 66 and use a polar chest strap for HRV (Polar H10). Sleeping heart rate is 48 and closer to 60 in general resting rate (during normal activity). I train almost daily with cardio and weightlifting. About 2x per week its very intense, but I like Latin music!!!

also in order to get your body stressed to find a good baseline what i did was that i drank one bottle of vodka every day for 1 year straight. i also got little sleep and ate about 45 miligrams of adderall a stimulant to see the damage to my body. also i was smoking about 4 cigarettes a day. after a while i would get pain in my chest. i would get pain swelling sensation in my liver. i broke out in acne, my HRV went from 70 down to 20... my resting heart rate when from 55 up to the 80's. my hair started thinning. i was getting depressed. i was driving drunk and having sex with strangers in the bars. now i stopped all the drugs and every month it is getting better. it was a crazy experiment!! do not do it because it is taking MONTHS TO RECOVER!!!! strangley enough when i quit alcohol cold turkey i had zero withdrawls...

Go to sleep early, get good rem amounts for easier hrv boost. The higher your number the more power you have during exercise. Low numbers are good for rest days.

Hey Siim,
could you do a video on the best strategy for resistance training, to do or not to do during a fast, surely you don't want to do resistance training if you can't eat any protein!?

For longevity, your strong heart is maybe more important than your muscle mass.

Any thoughts on the vagal nerve stimulator that Bryan Johnson (Blueprint) attaches to his ear every day? He claims that alone increased his HRV
