Hi from Buckeye, Arizona! 🌵 I found you purely by accident as hubby and I started planning our NZ trip back in 2018– for our BIG 25 th Anniversary and 70 Birthdays—in Oct 2020– well…we know how that turned out..it was moved to Oct 2021…😢 so we are very excited 😀 that the borders are opening up and have no problem with the 7 day isolation 😷 our trip is planned and paid for—just moved twice now! We are coming for a month—I have many cousins all over the North & South Islands —Some have already visited us in AZ—and we met again in Hawaii a few years ago! My Mom was able to make the visit and we were so happy she was able to go! All your recommendations I have already planned for—we are staying in hotels big and boutique style—plus a camper van x 13 days on the South island. Thanks so much! No questions yet from me—you have answered most everything for me so far! You have a very informative and fun channel! I will continue to watch! Thank you again!

Electrician here: you’ll want to confirm that your electrical item is rated for 230V before you plug it in here. It should be written on the item 😊

Good, sound advice! Anyone who’s coming to NZ should follow these suggestions. Also, if you’re going to the South Island in winter, buy 2-3 pairs of polar/winter fleece socks and some woolen gloves. You won’t regret it! :-)👍

Great video... a few tips for travellers.
- check out The Warehouse for cheap goodies
- if you’ve never driven on the left before, practice as much as you can on quiet roads when you arrive; remember “the driver is always closest to the middle of the road”; ask your passenger to be your co-pilot (until you feel comfortable)...
- 99% of cafes are great in NZ... for coffee/tea, snacks and meals
- ice cream in a cone / fish and chips (separately)... are a tradition
- Pak & Save supermarkets tend to be more economical
...and just ask/we’ll help

I think a good one to discuss is a Roundabout and how to use them

The one about the hat is so real. When I went to Kaikoura last summer, I took precautions and still ended up with a peeling face.

hat you can get at the ware house. Not super expensive

Good stuff, what most people do not realise because of the earths elliptical orbit the Southern hemisphere is 5, 000, 000 Kms closer to the sun in our summer than the norther hemisphere is in their summer! add this to relatively pollution free skies & it makes for some serious sun burn to the unwary visitor.

SUNSCREEN. Not just for white people either - I’ve seen dark-skinned people get sunburn here.

Mama Doctor Jones ( she has a doctor type channel) needs your advice! She us moving here in a couple of weeks from Arizona I think. With 4 kids also. Maybe you could send her your link. Theyre leaving family behind, but have wanted to move here for a while, but she had to wait until she was board certified as a GP or something. Originally, I was sent this channel because I watch people travelling to other countries lol. Not who travels here. Youtube Is back to frint!
