I love the cutter+slider mix to fix his slider problem

Man, get his mechanics repeatable and he’s got the raw talent.

Throwing low to mid 80s is impressive for someone in high school or late teens. Getting into those 90s like he did was very impressive 👏🏽 👌🏽 👍🏽 🙌🏽 I was a catcher, and my best friend was throwing 80s and maybe a few 90s. One or two mph means a lot when you're throwing that hard. I enjoyed watching him throw. 🎉he's going places, that's for sure.

This is really challenging…to go from one of the best prep outfielders to work his way up as a pitcher.

Nobody else is called boy or bro except this man, why is that? Weak men talk slick to young men that don’t know.

Him switching was a bad idea, It hasn't worked out for him at all unfortunately and he was just released from the Angels last month. He made a risky move when he didn't have to as someone who was already high prospect as an outfielder. Imagine that, he was #7 in the country during this.

I agree, not an easier game... Two guys playing catch... Did it for years, but got bored and I was the catch

I want your job… also wish I wasn’t 37 years old with a shredded shoulder and arm… you shoulda seen me in town ball and beer league softball!!! (Mostly kidding about the softball, I would sometimes sub for friends teams). Until I was about 27 I shut down the base running game from center field or left field… was really a 3B but always got put out in OF because of my arm. I pitched a very little bit of relief here and there, but never really worked at it because I was working on the other parts of the game. Even with that I had a decent 4 seem (with a lot of movement), and really mean sinker, a hard and fast 12-6 curve ball, and an “ok” slider… when it came to pitching I never put in a lot of time on it so I had pretty nasty stuff (comparatively) but only ever had “decent” control at best. I was lead off or #2 hitter pretty much the entire time I played (on a couple of very bad teams I hit #3), but I was for sure always a + or a ++ on defense so no one ever wanted to take me out of the field lol.

Not exactly a strike throwers delivery. That finish gives me nightmares of Jose Valverde
