The greatest guitarist for the last 50 years, no questions asked. A man who could play any style and envelope it as his own, only to completely reinvent himself the next album. Whether it was hard rock, rockabilly, blues, jazz fusion, country and even metal: Jeff could absolutely master it as he had been playing it his entire life.

There are and were guitar gods who were masters but only of one style of music: Jeff was the master of nearly all styles.
