Bertholdt was Reiner's real true friend. He was there when Reiner had no one to call friend. He had no alternative insentive in being Reiner's friend, outside of wanting to do so. Always there for him, until his death. I love how Bertholdt didn't argue with Reiner. Not just because they were both in on it. But because he had his back. True friendship right there!

I love both versions so much, but this one fits the scene perfectly. It's like you're listening to his mental process, going from confused and unsure to completely confident and ready to do whatever's necessary. That moment when he decides he's ready to go all the way, that part of the track is just beautiful. "No road left but the one that leads to the end!" Perfection.
