Awesome Alcohol Stove Review

I just got one of these paid $15 Aus from Hong Kong and really one of the best stoves I have ever used, fuel is cheap and it last a long time, you can leave it in your car and it won't go boom with the heat, I love it

The thing he used to put out the fire is a simmer ring which can be opened to reduce the temperature. The stove needs to cool wayy down before it is sealed or you could fry any rubber seal inside the lid. Also dont use alcohol gel in it. it bungs it up

The device you used to put the stove out, is also a simmer ring; you change the amount of flame by adjusting the opening.

Denatured alcohol is typically used for camp stoves. You can get it at a home improvement store in the paint section. Rubbing alcohol is sooty.

If you put the potstand on top of the stove it will accomodadte smaller pots that have a smaller diameter than the potstand. I almost think that this way is better as it raises the pot above the flame for better efficiency.

This is better than my backpacking stove. (much Less weight, cheaper)

Looks like the standard Trangia (TM) burner, made in Sweden. It's been around for some years - if not decades. I use the Trangia as my personal stove regularly when outdoors.

I like stand is great, as are the lids. I just saw some on ebay for $13 range for the kit.

My dad has that! Lol I love the clear distinction between guys that do this stuff vs. mostly girls (beauty gurus) he totally just tosses the box that it came in. "Garbage" lol. Whereas beauty gurus or the like will talk about the packaging and go on and on. Lol so funny

Be carefull :

- prepare a flat site to use it and clean the site to free it from burning. In case of spilling the alcohol have water and soil around you. Clean your hands before starting the fire. And use a smaller pot for preventing a turnover.
