I visited this amazing aquarium a few years ago. My daughter went there separately a couple of years later and sent me some photos of the Congo tetras, denisoni barbs, Siamese algae eaters and the various other tetras with the comment 'I've just spent €20 to see your fish!' 😂. She was only joking if course, but it's true that the most common fish in that tank are what I have too.

I need a living room exactly like that!

I would love to see the filtration system and plumbing of a system this size. I'm often more interested in the construction and engineering behind an aquarium over the aquarium itself. Although this system is absolutely amazing. Amano was a true man of his craft.

It was sad when you commented on the plight of freshwater aquariums closing in Britain because a lot of people think Marine displays are more exciting. Saltwater is colourful, yes (i have kept them), but display wise, it is limited compared to the vast number of environments in freshwater (so many, we become addicted to hording set-ups) !
Great video as always kaity.
DONT FORGET TO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON FOLKS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
(Your visit to the cichlid breeding farm showed freshwater fish can be every bit as colourful) !

How beautiful, we certainly need to be brought closer to nature in these times.

This aquarium is maintained on a daily basis to look at it's Optimal condition 👌✨️🌿
From what I've heard this aquarium was done as a temporary setup (2 years) but after Amano San passed away the same year they kept it as a tribute to him 🌊💚

That's how I see my dream home with a pond in the atrium. Watching that plecostomus I think he must be content and satisfied with his enclosure. I always have my fishes happiness in mind when I buy and care for them.

Incredible. What a great environment for the flora and fish. For fish in captivity, this would be the ideal location. I wonder what mechanisms are used for filtration. The aesthetics are uncompromised. Beautiful.

Just. Wow. Nearly all my childhood aquarium dreams in one room. But I'd settle for a 12 x 5 x 5 tank set up as an aquascape representing the lower end of Four Mile Creek as I remember it as a child. Turtles, Rainbow fish, gudgeons, Pacific Blue eyes, eels, eel tail native catfish, shrimp etc etc. Plus the odd exotic that found its way in there in the 1974 floods. Sorry, got carried away there.

Wow, so nice to see this aquarium through another lens. As a planted tank fan, I have watched this build over the years although I have not been there myself. Thanks for sharing.
