Gonna give yall my secrets, For 7.3 and 6.9 engines go to classic diesel designs or moose diesel, they got everything you need and more! Great vid, about to tear my idi down, this should help me out!

I went through the same problem with the oil cooler rebuild kit 2 years ago when I had to rebuild my cooler. Not just Napa, autozone, Car Quest, and Oriely’s did the same.

It pisses me off that parts are getting very difficult to find for the 6.9 and 7.3 idi engines. I restore idi ford trucks. An old friend of mine got me into the idi trucks about 20 years ago he would buy parts up from any ford or international dealer who had idi parts. He died about 8 years ago his wife gave me all of his new and used parts he collected over the years. New water pumps new thermostat housings glow plugs he had at least a dozen valley pan gaskets new injection hard lines new olive seals only thing he didn't have was new injection pumps but a dozen of good used pumps. Where you located are you close to Allegheny County Maryland

Hey dude where do I get a bolt kit for this engine?

Do you know what size the oil pump bolts are same with the oil tube the 2 bolts and one nut for that as well

How much total did it cost do do just the motor rebuild? 1500? 2k?

Dude rock auto is cool and all but they don't carry much diesel stuff other places have a lot of parts for this

Why not just buy studs yes theyre better on thw 7.3 than the 6.9 but just extra insurance

the 7.3 lifters are the same as 6.9 and the same as the 6.2 and 6.5 Chevrolet even the old 5.7 olds 5.7 diesel

Oil pan needs to be RTV that gasket is gonna leak.

That's false advertisement. Id be mad too, head boss generally shouldn't be reused, but if it's just a few. It will be okay unless this thing is getting boost.
