Do you think today’s world a better place than it was before?

People think that millennials are more intensely nostalgic than previous generations and I UNDERSTAND….I genuinely think Gen Z are not as nostalgic because there is nothing to be nostalgic about? Like for Gen Z - housing market has always been bad whilst some millennials may have had a taste of the past a little. At least through seeing the life of their parents…

In the 1990s, people were getting paid $70,000 a year and houses were $180,000. Now people get paid $90,000 and houses are around $1,200,000. THE MATHS IS NOT ADDING UP…and it’s hard because millennials’ parents (boomers and gen x) expect so much of them, whereas for gen z, if they are lucky and their parents are older millennials, they will understand that’s it’s harder because it’s the same for them?

Anyway as bad as the economy is, I always think about how civilisations go backwards…in general? we are definitely going back - in the last 10 years, US democracy ranking reached a new low. and what is happening to UK? I am losing hope people cannot afford anything.

I just want to keep walking on the harbour with a clear sky above my head and laughing at silly things with my friends and watching Emily in Paris and buying Starbucks occasionally. Like, I am just not ready for this BS.

She had visited Bali and Mexico City before her final destination - Itaewon, Seoul on that horrific night. I read it on the news today and it actually broke my heart. She lived her life to the fullest and went on a round-the-world trip before this incident where she couldn’t escape. After reading this, I’m just glad Grace travelled the world instead of scraping for a house deposit. It’s all that matters at the end of the day…
