My mother suffered from bi-polar disorder and her house would get like this every few months. I would go and clean it every time. I started to feel negative about it and it showed. I wish I could go back in time and have Katarina's attitude about it. Covid took my mother last year at the age of 60. I miss her so much and I wish I could go back and tell her how much I love her and that it's just mess. I did this for my friend once. She'd developed anxiety and depression and lost control of her house. She's also a cosplayer, which means tons and tons and TONS of tools and materials to make costumes, so it took me literal months to get it all organized. But it was super satisfying work and I had a lot of fun.

I was so happy and relieved to see that her bedroom wasn't "as bad" as the rest of the apartment. It's really such a huge thing that she managed to keep her sleeping space in a better condition, that it wasn't as dirty as her kitchen or bathroom. When you're so heavily depressed, your bed often becomes your one safe heaven, and your bedroom is the room where you spend most of her time. Thank you for the help you offer to all these people Auri, you're so sweet. It makes me feel better now, when I have depressive episodes where it's hard for me to keep my place clean, to remember that there are people like you out there who wouldn't judge me but would help instead. It's helped me accept the help that my friends offer, and now a close friend of mine regularly comes over to help me clean my place, and I pay him in exchange, because he's tight on money, and I need the help. It's a good exchange, and you've helped me to not feel guilt or shame about it anymore.

As someone who has been (and still is) suffering from severe depression and anxiety over the last few years, it is truly amazing and encouraging to see what you'd do for someone in need.
