The thing that I find funny is that "never judge a book by its cover" is a fairly good saying when applied to most things, except for _buying books._
Edit: Let me explain so I stop getting replies about this. If a book's cover doesn't look promising, then I don't really have a reason to buy it unless I've heard good things about it from other people, so at least in my experience you kind of have to judge a book by its cover if you want to go into a book blind.

Book covers actually can be a decent way to judge whether you want to read books. Granted, some good books have been screwed over by the publishers and bad cover art, but really interesting and well-made covers are often a good sign.

The library appears to be empty of both books and people, you can tell by the lack of books on the shelves and the fact that you don't see anyone else in the library. Couple this with the fact that the library isn't surrounded by buildings and the father asks "what kind of library is this" implying that he's never been there before despite bringing his son there all points to the fact that this library has just opened. The book also looks extremely unofficial, being made of what looks like a few pages of scrap paper barely holding together. It also doesn't seem to have any library tag (though it could be on the back/inside) and it doesn't have the author's name on the front or spine, leading me to believe that this was a prank book that was quickly placed before anyone could notice. The father here is not only judging the book, but the library as well. Due to the fact that the book looks fairly recent, it probably isn't even actually about sucking hitler's balls, and rather more about the FANTASY of sucking hitler's balls. Again, another wrong assumption made by the father.

I mean, the whole point of a cover with anything on it is so that you can judge the book, and figure out if you want to read it without having to open it up
