Just some background on the steak and butter gal:

If I remember right, She had a low fat vegan approach for 6yrs and destroyed her hormones. She craved fat for the first few months on carnivore and literally ate whole sticks of butter at a time. Once her hormones leveled out she stopped craving butter and quit eating it like that.

She would be a really cool person to talk to.

I never realized KETO was such a rebellious program of eating! My little "5 by 5" dietician says l should be following SAD. l asked her point blank if she trusts the government. "No, " she said.
I rest my case.
6 weeks on, 20 pounds gone.
T2D, and high blood glucose better.

Regarding Steak and Butter Gal, that is in reference to high fat carnivore way of eating. This is especially useful for women who still have thyroid or hormonal issues even after a long time on keto or carnivore. Also, its useful for those with a screw-up metabolism of yo-yo dieting over the years and highly restricted calories and/or low-fat diets to manage weight, I am one of those. Basically, it advocates for a 1-to-1 ratio or more of fat to protein. This is also important for us in Asia where the meat cuts are not so fatty and people like me who are not able to stomach too fatty cuts, but are able to eat butter instead. I personally don't eat butter off the slab, I would cut them up into cubes and eat them instead lolz. You may like to reference Dr. Elizabeth Bright about her approach and treatments. Yes, there are no clinical trials since nobody will have the money to sponsor a high-fat carnivore trial given the bad press with SFA and red meat, but for those in the carnivore community, there are many success stories and recovery for folks going on such high-fat approach. It doesn't mean that you have to eat like this forever, this is only part of the healing process, over time our body will tell us how much it needs or wants to eat. There are days where butter just looks unappetizing to me and I wouldn't add or eat them in additional to my meals.

Even though this was just a tiny sampling of available videos, one of which was satirical, it's a sad state of affairs when the worst offender was the only physician in the sample.

Also, Steak and Butter Gal is a pretty great channel with tons of excellent information.

I've been following Dr. Westman since 2006 when he was on the movie Big Fat Diet.They had a First Nations group follow keto for a year and Dr. Westman told them the diet lowered their cholesterol better than any statin drug could, they lost a ton of weight, felt better, and got some off of diabetes meds.

Bella at Steak and Butter Gal is already pretty lean - eats high fat for mental clarity and energy. I think Dr. Elizabeth Bright, Dr. Rob Cywes, and others lean towards the higher fat too for hormone health. 😊

From what i've heard dog sled racers eat butter during the race. Light weight and high in energy producing fats.

Bella The Steak and Butter Gal makes her boyfriend eat butter like that too. Seriously scientific proof or not her approach has helped me tremendously! If you get an overwhelming craving for a candy bar eat a stick of butter instead and see if the craving goes away. Cheers

When I eat keto, I get into ketosis and loose weight, but as soon as I stray the weight comes back!

😂 I guess I’m missing out in my keto diet, I’ve never eaten a testicle or raw, or some of the other “delicacies”. I’ll leave it for the TicTockers. No one could possibly believe any of them.
