I don't see her as transphobic. She has said multiple times that trans people deserve rights. She just wants to acknowledge the differences. I think she's against trans women in women sports that's just one aspect of it that in and of itself would not make someone transphobic in my view. And my opinion some of those transfer because somebody who literally hates trans people and doesn't think they ought to exist. Which is not how she feels.

It is obvious that she drew parralels between those that slam her views as transphobic just because she does not believe that women shouldn't be called women, but people that menstruate. I listened to the interview. JK Rowling's main point was that what made the death eaters so bad was their fascistic way of thinking. There is no room for nuance, debate or compromise. Every person that disagrees with me is evil and needs to be destroyed. She equated this with how extremists have treated her.

As a queer person and someone who disagrees with her stances. She unfortunately isn't wrong. The boycott and crusade against anyone who even slightly has different option is actively hurting the queer movement as a whole. We are going backwards because of all of the meaningless bullshit.
