reminds me of the Fresh prince episode where Wills like "if we so rich....how come we cant afford no ceiling" and the camera just pans up to show the lighting rigs

Sharkboy and Lavagirl looked WAY more realistic in my mind when I was a kid

The original "The Invisible Man" movie from 1933. Specifically the scene where the Invisible man unwraps his bandages.

Note Orson Welles was only 25 years old when he wrote, directed and starred in Citizen Kane, and it's his very first released film. You take all that into account when you see the editing, the timeline structure, the visual effects, its message, and you have one of the very best cinema masterpieces of all time. Remember. This all in 1941.

Compare the original and remake of The Invisible Man and talk about how both movies utilized their effects.

You guys have got to do 2001: A Space Odyssey. The effects in that movie are still stunning

For old movies I think they should do the first Invisible Man from the 30’s when he takes the bandages off

The tornado in The Wizard Of Oz. A legendary practical effect in a classic movie.

I’ve actually met Doug Jones once
He’s such a sweet individual, he’s too good for this world

Remember learning some time ago: Citizen Cane's shots showing the inner roof was way outside of the box. Reason? To get cameras of the day that close to the floor was impossible because they were so big and unwieldy. Solution? They raised the set and made openings in the floor so the camera structure would be lower, getting the angle they wanted.
