Blood sacrifice, only way to appease these cars.

RULE NR 1: When finding a drop/trace of blood on your car (while working on your car)
ALWAYS START WITH LOOKING FOR A DEAD BODY ABOVE YOUR HEAD 1:47

Another good tip is to use a heat gun to soften everything up before you remove the old emblem. Works like a charm and negates the need for any dental floss or fishing line.

Pretty funny. . . . . . watching your process and problems encountered. I started with your initial idea of using dental floss to loosen the adhesive under the badge. . . . . but found that a flexible plastic spatula worked even better!! And it didn't damage the paint in the process!!

Hi guys, to remove the front emblem use a credit card like item, most stores do give out those types of cards for discounts, slip it under all the perimeter of the badge once you have about, 5mm space use two plastic spatulas on the left and right of the badge it will pop out without braking the pins if you pior them even

You still did a great job, with those emblems, in my opinion.Even the nubs on the emblem on the hood broke, it was still a good learning experience, of what not to do.Your video still turned out well, even though the camera fell.It didn't ruin the video.

I came to see this video when I was searching for how to change on rear/brake lights bulbs on my Saab 9-5 Biopower combi :)
I've changed my front doors due to them being rusty. We can buy old parts at the junkyard with descent quality. I wonder if you, who live in a summer environment all the time and are not exploiting your cars to salty roads, get rust on your Saabs as well? Now when I've watched your video I'll have to take a look at the my emblems :)

Great video. I have to do the same to the same model and colour car. You gave me some good insight as to what I'm getting ready to get into.

Just a suggestion...Hair dryer should loosen adhesive on rear badge before floss and prying tool. For the front badge a
small diameter screw should be able to be burrowed into the plastic nubs and then removed while retaining the nubs in the threads of the screw. ( Much like a screw/bolt extractor).

I bought the stick-on decals off ebay. Cheap and 3 years later, still looking good !

We discovered when we changed to the new Black Badges, that the original supplier had a inferior production set up for the Saab badges. Same supplier as for the BMW. For some reason we never discovered that they didn't have the same setup as BMW badge, which they were obligated to have.

Good job. I change badge on my 9-3 sportcombi. It was a five minute job :)

I just removed my old front badge and I also managed to cut my finger in a stupid way.
Apparently, when a previous owner replaced the front badge they also snapped those pins off but instead of removing them, they cut off the pins on the new one and stuck it on with two big blobs of epoxy or something like that.
While trying to remove those blobs, my hand slipped and the surprisingly sharp edge of the epoxy shaved off quite a bit of skin from my finger.

I bought new logos for my saab 93 vert but since I'm wrapping my interior with carbon fiber I figured instead of getting blue background I went with a black and grey carbon background they look dope

New Badges are a cheap way to make your car look much newer. A persons eye is drawn to the faded/cracked badges, I know mine are. Spend a few $$ and change them!

What kind of adhesive did you use because I’m about to do mine but I don’t want to make a mess by using wrong stuff.
