I watched charlotte years ago thinking I would be starting another decent 12 episode anime and got my head knocked off by one of the best short animes I have ever watched.

I don’t know if anyone noticed.

But the last episode was a tribute to symbolizing his character growth development

Observe when he begins his plunder mission, you can tell he was like his old self. Like in the begining of the season. Less serious, funny, careless
as he kept plundering half way, we see him going crazy with power, like he went after ayumis death . He lost control and let the power consume him

Later as he got through it, he made a resolve to get himself back, you see him become selfless like he did when Noa saved him from depression. His character changed cuz he fell in love, similarly the notebook symbolized why he reverted back to normal despite going crazy

And In the end, he doesn’t mind dying for love because it saved him from suffering.

His character changed, that’s why in the end he doesn’t use the power to control for his benefit. That’s why he doesn’t attack the guy. He wants to do it to protect Nao and to honour her effort in changing him to a good person

That’s why she fell for him. Cuz she realised how grateful yuu was to her even after loosing his memories, cuz she changed him to a good person and yuu wanted her to know that

People keep forgetting that Yuu is one of the most powerful anime character in Anime world. If they didn't rush this anime, he wouldn't be an underated character.

I really want a side series/spin off manga where they fully explore Yuu as the reaper. Hell, I’ll even take an alternate timeline manga where Yuu continues his reaper activities outside of Japan even after losing his mind. Just _anything_ to show us how badass yet destroyed he really was as the reaper.

I am kinda salty about the fact that yuu could have done the same mission but also bring back loved ones after healing his eye. It wouldnt have made that much of a difference

yuu seriously deserves everything good to happen to him
i hate thinking that nobody but his friends will treat him as well as he deserves despite him going through a mission thats quite literally worse than death.
his brother, and everyone else that isnt student council..
he spents months travelling around the worse stealing abilities that it literally breaks his mind to the point that he cant walk, then he gets shot by 3 arrows, and comes home wheelchaired and no memory of anything.
yet no visit from his brother? did he love kumagami so much and blame yuu so much that he doesnt care enough about his actual brother who straight up saved the world, while sacrificing his own brain? he doesnt deserve a visit from him?
man dont get me wrong, its sad what happened to kumagami, but yuu has it far worse.
shunsuke should be crying and grieving just as much for seeing and leaving his brother to go through the most painful mission ever and coming back with severe freaking brain damage.
yuus mission and the end result is far worse than death to me.
this ending showing that he becomes lovers with nao, he sees his friends and sister again is great.. but not enough to me. yuu freakin deserves to have everyone in the world bowing to him.
not to be treated like he didnt do anything special.
idk man it just pisses me off..

After watching this anime i realized this anime could easily be a backstory for my hero academia. I KNOW that it isnt a backstory nor are they connected in any way but its so perfectly convenient, if the story was changed slightly it would fit a lot better
