I am having trouble with this setup. When scrolling to find a specific time in the movie, the brightness of the lights keeps fluctuating between high and low. This happens because the Apple TV switches between playing and paused states. Have you found a solution to this issue? I do not want to use a timer because I love the responsiveness. Thank you for all your work!

I’ve been wanting to figure out how to do this automation for two years now! Why doesn’t Apple have the Apple TV as an automation accessory event?? 😑

I’m having an issue with this when watching Netflix. I have an Onn android tv box and for some reason Netflix doesn’t report the play/pause state so it doesn’t work for Netflix but it works for other apps like YouTube and Paramount+. Do you know of any way to fix this?

I did this some time ago, but on Netflix the trailers start running in the menu and turns off the lights…
