The best thing about the 9600x is it's efficiency. While performing a tiny bit better than the 7600x, it uses about half the power.

On a mid build this part is meant to be in, the 5000X3D will perform the same in games.

It preforms about the same as the 7600x. The speed difference is just not worth it. It is truly a case of marketing saying bigger number = better.
