How do you guys afford to hike for weeks at a time? I only get two weeks of pto a year and those usually are used to run errands.

Also, how do you afford all the gear and food? I honestly thought anyone could get into hiking, but every outdoor store I have been to says otherwise.

I’m not trying to be nasty, I loved hiking and backpacking when I was a kid, but I just do understand how to do it anymore
