Like COBOL, C and C++ will never die in our lifetimes. You can be secure knowing that.

Well said. I think people get caught up in the 'language wars' a bit much online when starting out coding. Beginners shouldn't worry themselves too much with higher level differences and should focus on learning some language to complete some task. That is invaluable. Once you can be proficient in that language and good at a couple others can you then worry yourself about what language is better/worse for the task at hand.

I feel like c++ forces you to learn programming fundamentals other languages take for granted like pointer manipulation and garbage collection. If you learn C++ you can learn every language easier.

Everyone should learn C++, and then we'll have a lot less JavaScript programmers which is a win-win

Learning to learn something on my own was the most valuable skill I learned in college

Every language has its use case. There is no "best" language for general purpose but you could argue that some languages are better than other languages at a specific thing. For example, if I'm going to make games then I'm going to use Unreal with C++

my opinion, use a language that fits your need.

Need to interact with low level components with ease? C, C++, Rust, Zig, Swift or heck, even C#'s C support is first class.

Need higher level functionality but needs to be fast? Rust, C#, Java, Go.

Need a scripting language for either quickly hacking things together or having many instances of it running at the same time (microservice for example)? Python & JavaScript.

Need an embedded scripting language ? Lua, Javascript & Python.

Need superlow level access on some instructions due to you writing for embedded devices or for optimization sake? Go with Assembly, Rust, C/++, Zig or any language that has inline assembly.

Like, every language has its uses, it just depends on what YOU need.

C++ is a beautiful and useful language.

When I first started, a guide had me learning 10 different languages. By the time I learned the 3rd one, I was forgetting most of the first one. Got confused wondering "what is the point", got burnt out. But now I'm being more serious, and I've realized that instead of just learning one language I've learned the basics of programming.

One of the greatest practical opinion I've ever heard. Just awesome! Great point Sir! ❤❤❤

C is good for more low-level stuff (which is why it's used for kernels and other low level tools), while C++ or really any other language are good for a bit higher-level stuff. while you can use C++ to make an OS kernel, C is just the industry standard, the same going for C++ being the industry standard for gaming

I spent a lot of time learning C++ and I'm glad I did. I'm an expert now. I have my own library to prepare any kind of programa quickly.

Hello I would like to give you the lame story of my past (learning things and finding you on youtube) now learning things is a little more fun and sometimes, easier. All thanks to you and your content. I hope you receive more comments like this! Because I want you to know and understand that these videos have impact on people that struggle to learn, or find the motivation to want to learn.

SO please keep up the good work and your youtube shorts are really enjoyable.

All software programmers should first be required to learn assembly language followed by C before they learn the Bloat code languages. I guarantee they will be more efficient programmers after learning the basics.

I'm so tired of this mindset of a progamming languages being "the best". Every single language has at least one ideal use case. It's like asking which screwdriver in the tool kit is the best...
