If I listen to this without thinking of the context of the original, then I just get a strong vibe of learning about painful truths from this piece. Like the main character learning about some horrible things that the people that they had always cared about until then did long they first met. Method of learning; said people suddenly turning on the main character, openly saying that the main character has outlived their usefulness. And opening their mouths a little wider to let practically all of their innumerable past atrocities spill out, prompting an extremely painful battle for the main character as the main character tries to defend themselves from the people that they didn't know so well after all.

It's more of a mystic, yet beautiful sound than a dark lullaby. Like something you'd hear when exploring a beautiful, almost magical forest area, completely untouched by human society and industrialization. Not what you were going for, but still great nonetheless. :) However, I would like to see you revise this theme in a more dark, creepy tone.

This song... The nostalgia hits really hard. Amongst all the remixers I listen on Youtube, this piece is one of my favorite. It carries so much emotions, it brings peace in a world of noise. It brings hope in a world of despair. It brings mystery in a world of discoveries. It helped me so much in the past, especially when I was writing stories. I mean, when I needed epic songs I would just pop out the Two steps from hell. But when I needed peace and majestuosity, I'd listen to this.
