So I tested 16+ iPad stylus's over the last few months and I've updated my recommendations. Don't worry, it's not the Apple Pencil 2 (It's something MUCH cheaper). Also, Apple solved my biggest gripe with stylus's with the USB-C version. Keep Watching!

I use the original Apple Pencil 2 with my iPad mini 6 and it's worth every dollar. It is very comfortable, monolithic, and glides well across the screen. I draw a lot in illustration and 3D and this is the perfect tool for me.

Nice as always. You did fail to mention that Apple Pencil 2 is frequnetly available at a discount. Randomly at the moment it's $79 from Amazon... Did not check other places...

Thanks for the review, I'm getting my first ever tablet, the iPad pro (5th gen) 12.9 as a violinist who's been wanting to go paperless for awhile now and videos like this have helped steer me towards the accessories that I do (and dont) need for my purposes.

The best option is to find secondhand Apple Pencil .. instead of buying the Apple Pencil USB-C get the second generation(if your iPad is compatible) secondhand. It will cost much much less and at the same time you get all the good features. ( you will Appreciate more.)

My iPad Pro case has a rubber molded grippy area for the pencil. It sticks well, even through the case. It also holds it such that the tip and back are cradled so they don’t get caught on anything.

I'm a casual user but my number one favorite use is digitally signing documents. Any other stylus makes my signature look like I'm 4 years old. Reminds me of the days using a mouse to sign.

I love my 10th gen iPad and USB C pencil setup. I got the set for around $450 new on Amazon so I feel like I got a great value. I will say that you can slide the pencil further up the edge. It can be centered on the side of the device, so it looks the nicest right under the volume buttons.

I found this video researching a new stylus cause I lost my Apple Pencil, however I purchased the ESR one a month ago I was surprised to see this was the recommendation. It disconnects and you need to hold the button to reconnect after 5 mins. Literally.

Dang, that ESR stylus in gray doesn't seem to be available anymore (just white if you want wireless charging).
