Altium Tutorial for Beginners: How to do Schematic & PCB Layout

The altium support gave me this solution and it worked for me:
"If you have a predefined List for the Pad-Designators for a Column or row ( simple to create with Excel) you can copy and paste the Information to the Pads.
to copy the information:
Select a Colum/ Row of pads, use the List Panel to just list the selected Pads. Change to mode from the Llist Panel to Edit mode. Now you can Copy / Past to the Pad Name from the Excel sheet for an individual cell / or a group of cell."

Wow, good catch. I see what you mean. You are right, Altium should add bottom pad for the through hole pads. I will check what needs to be set.

Hi Jose, you may need to contact your local Altium representative. They keep doing changes and I am not sure how it works now, but generally, you need to have an account on Altium Live and the sales representative may need to enable download for your account ...

It is for the telit GE864-GPS module. It says "Top view" and the columen on top are letters while the rows are numbers. It is on
"telit GE864-GPS hardware guide"

I Sam, please double check if your view is correct (sometimes datasheet show bottom view). I have never needed to change the order.

Well done on this tutorial. This is an excellent starter tutorial. I would advise you to list the altium version you used. I used version 15 and although there are some small changes with the options and where they are it was simple enough to figure out from your video.

In a "Bottoms Up Multi Sheet Project", one can make on the top level schematic (lets call it Mother), the schematic symbols and link them to the sub-sheets created earlier. My question is when you make the PCB board from the topmost Mother sheet, how do you import the original room formatting (placement and routing) of the sub-sheets used in the Top-Mother sheet? Considering that the sub-sheets where made and their boards were laid out.

I already solve it...you have to check the Top checkbox in the bottom printout...I just dont undestand why...but it worked for me
