the problem with that idea is that in the beginning for genos's journey, he isn't only a brain in a mechanical suit. he still had his ribcage, spine, and subsequently probably also other organs. There were over time lost, especially in the fight against the deep sea king.

In the WC it's clear that metal knight was behind the mad cybord, he runs experiments risking people's lives: planned an android apocalypse to become "the savior" that gave the neo heroes the battle suits (the only thing that can destroy the androids) but destroying entire cities in the process / keeping monsters under the asosiation HQ / sending several battle androids from "the association" after S class heroes: king, child emperor, atomic samurai and genos, just for collecting their data (like Machine God G5 in the monster association arc)
