I personally don’t need a guy to be emotional unless he’s comfortable with that level of vulnerability. It has to grow organically between us.

It takes me awhile to open up fully to someone, so I usually give others that courtesy to open up in their own time. Intimacy is the sought after thing here; closeness, vulnerability and trust.

This doesn’t always mean sexual intimacy, but if we have that kind of relationship, it _can_ include sexual intimacy. Because it’s a really big deal to let someone in like that, for both parties, this isn’t a situation offered to just any guy.

So, I guess women asking for guys to be more “emotional, ” they need to understand if they can even handle what that means, if they know what they’re asking for, and whether they’re self-aware enough to handle the ramifications of someone opening up and trusting you that much.

It’s your responsibility to not fuck up their heart after they open up, if _you_ were the one asking for that level of intimacy in the first place. One needs to take responsibility for oneself and the things one is asking for.
