Had one on my arm. Didn't remember if the doctor gave it a name like ganglion cyst, but the surgery is basically : Anesthetic, cut, remove object, close & stitch.

Depending on how old you are or where you came from, they are also called bible cysts. It was common practice to take a bible and smash it. The reason for using a bible, it was the heaviest book most people had in their homes. I never had a bible cyst. I have had degenerative cysts caused by rheumatoid arthritis. The rheumatoid ate away the joint in my wrist and caused the joint fluid to leak in the surrounding bones. I had to have surgery for that and for me, it wasn't worth it. I have had a cyst in the bone below the knuckle in my thumb for 4yrs. I don't plan on getting it fixed. I lost a lot of strength and mobility in my wrist after I had surgery

I’ve had one long time ago. It’s irritating and painful especially when it’s cold. 🥶 It popped when I accidentally bumped to someone’s arm real hard. It was so painful but it was effective.😂
