TLDW: if both wires are connected - just unsolder one, wait for couple of seconds and solder it back again (that SHOULD fix your problem).

Ive opened my tip and found a loose wire. Am not entirely sure exactly how/ where to get it back on or get access to behind the circuit board without destroying it, any tips please anyone? Moving the cable around in a certain area momentarily gets it working so am sure it can be fixed. Thanks!

wasnt the flashlight in lockout mode? disconnecting power entirely just resets it
