A stroke is a medical emergency. Strokes happen when blood flow to your brain stops. Within minutes, brain cells begin to die. There are two kinds of stroke. The more common kind, called ischemic stroke, is caused by a blood clot that blocks or plugs a blood vessel in the brain. The other kind, called hemorrhagic stroke, is caused by a blood vessel that breaks and bleeds into the brain. "Mini-strokes" or transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), occur when the blood supply to the brain is briefly interrupted.

Symptoms of stroke are

Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body)
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden severe headache with no known cause

If you have any of these symptoms, you must get to a hospital quickly to begin treatment. Acute stroke therapies try to stop a stroke while it is happening by quickly dissolving the blood clot or by stopping the bleeding. Post-stroke rehabilitation helps individuals overcome disabilities that result from stroke damage. Drug therapy with blood thinners is the most common treatment for stroke.

I'm a survivor of my Mini stroke. This happened in March 2021. I was sent to my local Hospital in Adelaide to get treated immediately with medication and surgery. Then I was transferred to a Rehab Centre nearby for the next few months to recover properly. Its been 9 months since my stroke which I survived well. I am now back at home with my dogs. I am walking again with the help of my rollator which is like a walking frame with 4 wheels. The physio team has helped me to walk again by using their equipment like the treadmill and robotic arm to strengthen my left side of my body. Thanks to the team for all their help. I am now walking better.

I'm 35 healthy as they get, I surf, I skateboard and even do flips on my trampoline. I had a mild stroke this am and went immediately to the hospital. my left side was numb and tingling and my mouth and chin were numb. don't wait. I'm okay but the vision In my eyes is blurry and I have a bad headache

I had this after drinking a blue cocktail on holiday in Majorca in 2017 that Clare bought for me after abandoning her children with me. I was so scared not being able to get help and collapsing. The same thing happened in 1988 after yo henry bought me a drink with Martin watching the event in the background and it was history repeating itself! People find it funny to see a woman with ill health after having their drink spiked. It's so dangerous for people who are allergic to chemicals. They probably need medical attention and the medics just say she is drunk. Strangely enough, I had the same thing happen when I visited a sports bar with Lizzy Lamb and her daughter Ellie Russell Macron. The barman Merkel left the 3 drinks to one side on the bar especially for us three women. They just laughed at a victim then. They thought it was funny to see a person in ill health. I try to stay clear of these people that enjoy hurting me with drug spiking and are reluctant to go to night clubs and bars in fear of this happening again 😠. I stubbed my toe the night Liz effy had to escort me to my room to make sure I was safe!

I dont know if im having a stroke to be exact...I have 3 outa 4 of those symptoms. Im usually walking then both my eyes blur temporarily not seeing i stand still untill a few seconds later my legs feel really numb and i feel dizzy and fall on the floor. I havent seen a doctor but after this vid i should

Does it have to be more than all symptoms? Or just one is enough to determine cause I have headaches often, although I have migrane and also sometimes due to spectacles. How can I differentiate headache?
