I have a hack for your plastic grocery bags other than the hanging container. Take a box that fits in the drawer that you keep them in and tape it all shut. Then cut a hole in the top similar to a Kleenex box. You poke the bags in one at a time and pull them out one at a time. It keeps the drawer much neater and is a container boundary that keeps you from keeping too many. You could wrap the box with some pretty contact paper but it functions great as is. It also can act as a drawer divider if it doesn't take up the whole drawer. For example the box with bags on one side and regular trash bags slid in next to it. Just a hint if anyone is looking for a solution for bags that is in a drawer.

Regarding the water bottle shelves, it’s not always about maximizing space it’s about Function. If it makes it easier for you to access them- with the bonus that nothing is hidden in a second row, I’d say it’s a winner!

For organizing spices I would say my best tip is to alphabetize. It sounds obsessive, but is SO helpful. It helps when finding them and prevents duplicate purchases. I also like getting uniform spice jars and pouring the purchased spices into them. I haven’t bought a matching set, but we regularly get a certain kind of pesto sauce that comes in the perfect size jar for my spices. I’ve been slowly replacing them. It works for me because for the most part I ignore best by dates with spices. 😁

I've never seen anyone stack the bamboo dividers in a deeper drawer -- awesome idea to maximize the space! ❤

I like how the water bottle/travel mug organizer makes it easy to see what you have instead of maybe having to shuffle stuff to find the bottle you want/prefer.

I love watching these because you are so genuine. Even keeping in the “this may not even fit” parts. I think you make the rest of us “reformed messy people” feel normal. 🤣

You and Tom have changed our lives. I found you about 8 months ago and it changed how we live. I’m a Mom with four kids and simple living has made our lives so much more enjoyable. I can’t even put into words. May God bless you for making Him look good!! Truly, you have inspired me in more areas of my life than just my home. Thank you isn’t enough, But it comes with true sincerity.

We keep our water bottles in a “shoe organizer” that hangs on the back of our pantry door. We have a ton and it keeps them organized and visible.

You and your channel are my new obsession. It’s put a fire under me that no other clean/organize/purge videos ever have. Cas came the closest. 😂
I just got back from the thrift store dropping off a CARLOAD of boxes - filled to the brim and tightly - with things that I never thought I’d ever get rid of and somehow a stranger on the internet (you) gave me permission!
Thank you for constantly putting out such useful content. 😊

The water bottle holder makes it so you can reach all of the bottles without disturbing any others. Very convenient! I would keep it. 👍

I love that you didn't edit out the trial and error parts of the video, and products not fitting, or not being sure if you like a product, because I go through all those things too when I'm organizing. And I like that this video is kind of a reminder that it's ok to prefer how a space was before implementing a fancy organizing solution. Love your channel!

It is so refreshing to hear someone else identify as a "reformed messy person!" I think many of us hesitate to declutter and organize b/c we're not sure we will STAY organized. Thank you for being so genuine, as well as so helpful!

I have an idea about the travel mug shelf. Turn them around so you are looking at the bottom of each mug. I think that will make them look a little more uniform. The bottoms are usually a little narrower than the tops so you can grab them easier when they are that way. I like all of your organizing things for drawers which can get messy in no time. These items make drawers look so nice.

The Clutterbug Quiz was a game changer! I’m also a Ladybug so when you mentioned the tea holder sitting out, I was like, “Fellow Ladybug!”
I had my sister take the quiz too because she was always saying that my visible areas in the house were super clean and hers weren’t.
Now she realizes that she just organizes differently than I do and she can have things sitting out in view. I cant, it drives me crazy to see things. We both feel better now. 😉

I love how you have lived in your space before spending money on more permanent/grown up organization systems.

Thanks for sharing.

My favourite organization help is a magnetic knife holder that attaches to your wall. I got it from Ikea.

Getting pretty organizers are my “reward” for decluttering and cleaning a space. I love beautiful organization and have just in the last year been able to have the space to organize “what’s left.”
The silverware tray is the first bamboo organizer I purchased and I was hooked after that !
I just found spice jars with bamboo lids and I am just giddy over it … lol

I decided to use one of my shallow drawers for spices and it has been a game-changer! No more spices falling down when I reach for others like they did in my cabinet! I still keep the larger spice containers in a cabinet on riser shelves so I can see them all. One of the best changes I've made in my kitchen!

I have the water bottle holder and really like it. My cabinets aren't adjustable, but having the bottles "lying down" makes them so much easier to reach without knocking over other ones! :)
