Cool, this video helped me out, im planning on installing ubuntu server with a minimal install of wmaker / openbox / i3wm now :3

Thanks! Gotta try this out. To get a small UBUNTU install I used the UBUNTU mini.iso which hasn't bee updated since 18.04. Do you know of another way to install UBUNTU and consume the smallest amount of disk space?
