Here are the parts on Thingiverse if you want to print them before I finish this series.

In this video I will explain my plan for the modification of the Monoprice Mini V2, I think it's time to improve on this little printer, make it better, stronger, faster!

It's going to be a fun project I think.

My goals are:
- Keep the look of the printer, no Frankenstein printer here
- A safer printer with Marlin full safety features.
- Better prints with Linear Advance
- A better user interface, with a touch screen
- The ability to add RGB LEDs, Led-matrix, auto bed leveling

Let's take a look...

Hi, I'm Frank my channel is all about 3D printing. I can't get enough of my 3D printer. I make everything and anything out of 3D filament (PLA, PETG and more). As I say a printer that is not printing is a missed opportunity.

I'll be doing electronics, mechanics, computer engineering, DIY, reviews and tutorials.

Honestly Frank, your early videos about this printer is the main reason I purchased it as my first printer. And when Amazon put a 30% discount on Cyber Monday, I couldn’t pass it up 😀.
I’ve made a lot of things on mine. I definitely want to see your upgrades.

Subscribed! I've had my mini for about 4 years now and love it!

Frank, this project could not have been more timely! The USB port on my MPSM failed so I had already decided to switch to the MKS Gen L board with Marlin. Already got the board, in fact. I'll be waiting with great anticipation as you lead us through this project.

Cool, Now part 2!
I love your videos :)

I hope you are releasing a full video of the build process. Speeding it up and compressing it into a mere 20 seconds isn't really doing it justice.

Frank - Really enjoy your videos and I'm looking forward to following this project. Any chance you might do a video of the fusion360 process making the bracket for the display and the mount for the MKS board?

Hi Frank! Love your content and please don't ever stop! Where did you find that fan cover for the MP mini v2 with the noctua fan? I have been searching for that exact one for a while now!

Frank, the MPSM v2 main board works with Marlin 2.0. You don't have anything to lose by trying it. If it works you can keep the old USB and microSD reader ports keeping the original machine look even closer.

Frank, what is linear advance for? Also, in the actual assembly video, will you put a link to the parts you used in the description? And I wanted to ask: Did you have to install an operating system on the Marlin board, or was everything pre-installed?

Seems Parts and links no longer available, drivers, MKD... replacement suggestions ? TIA

Frank, After looking at your thingiverse parts, I'm curious to know if the usb port on the MKS Gen L will be accessible from the outside so that one can use Octoprint, for example.
