Pine Pitch Glue, Vol. 1: Channeling Walter White

My neighbor gave me 4+ pounds of pine resin a few weeks ago. I finally got around to cleaning it up this weekend. Usually, I try to think through my projects and plan my work pretty carefully. I had to change a few things on the fly with this one, though. I hope you don’t find that too bothersome. In the end I got 1.91 pounds of pretty clean, strained pine resin. What will I ever do with it all?? Well, the first thing I’ll do is make some pine pitch glue - sometimes called paleo glue. I’m sure that’ll come in handy with some of the other project I have planned. I’ll make the glue in Volume 2.

Correction: After further research I’m almost certain that the lost 0.7 lb. (see comment at 10:21) wasn’t due to water that evaporation. It was almost certainly turpentine that had boiled away.
