Today I won sparring against the best guy in my gym a 10 year vet I knock him down he took the 10 count but I almost lost he hit me with strong over hand to nose I took a 8 count but it was hard it was hard not to get hit by it either and that wasn't his first time hitting me with it and I caught some good hooks from him too before that what can I do to better my self next time I have to fight him again on the 26th in front of everybody this time as an official match

I want to ask something... We have technical /light sparring days..

And we have hard sparring days which may as well be a fight...


Is it okay to just fight/brawl on the hard sparring day?? Is it helpful or should i keep that mmentality for the actual fight??

LLike for example last Friday was our hard sparring day and I wanted to try volume punching non stop pressure on my partner... Even though I took some hits more than usual because I was constantly pressuring him.. And I didn't for once go on the backfoot Or even counter.. So sparring like that on hard sprring days is y okay ??

What do you mean by setting goals? What kind of goals? Can you give examples?

Fighters are obviously well trained and highly capable - but not sure you understand the meaning of 'practical'. This is theoretical, and very good theory too
