I actually used to do this back when I was a kid because it was back in the days where you could only buy games like once a year so I would play the living HELL out of games. It was fun times. It's great to see someone finally making a video about this.

Thanks for spending 70 hours of your life for 10 mins of mine. You get a like and a sub good sir.

I think the biggest kick in the teeth is if you card mod the sandsharks you still get the ap and lose the exp. So you could keep yourself low level and walk through the whole game with high level junctions and bonus summon ap abilities like +60% str

I always thought I was one of the crazies with how much I grind early on in these games until I found this series. This is a whole new level. Can’t wait to try it out!

I'm so triggered you didn't end the video by going to Ifrit.

When I played this as a kid I couldn't find Ifirts cave and ended up grinding for two days unintentionally trying to find it. 😂

All these years of playing this game, and I NEVER knew that you could receive higher level boss cards from weaker enemies using the Card command. WHAT?! My mind is seriously blown! I've always seen that monster data on the bottom right in the Card menu, but I couldn't think of why it existed and just forgot about it. I am so upset at myself for not knowing this lol

Me: Why is playing cards the first grind?
Me: You can WHAT with the cards?!

The Str bonus ability Ifrit gives you really disincentivizes leveling up this early unfortunately, as it takes time to unlock and bites you in the ass if you grind levels too early. Same applies to all Stat bonus skills, but the Str Bonus is the one that's easiest to get early on.

"The video is already quite long"

Glad to see some Youtubers still retain integrity and don't try to inflate the video length. Keep at it Primal, subscribed when I saw your Borderlands remastered stuff, and been enjoying everything since.

Good job guy! But if you didn't level up until after you got Ifrit, you could've used Ifrit's strength bonus ability by one bonus point a level, to easily max out Squall's strength at level 100 to 255 with much weaker magic junctioned. But I did learn a lot, so thanks!

If you want OP all you have to do is abuse the ever loving GOD out of the "Card" ability. Gives AP but no EXP. this lets you max GFs while keeping your low level. (if playing the steam or ps4 versions, use the easy battle cheat which makes anything less than a one-shot against you worthless.)
Farm gnats, the fish, caterpillars, and Ifrit's cave (after getting him of course) and once you get good enough defense/HP junctions, Rexs. most of the fodder enemies in the area around Balamb have _REALLY_ good rare card drops.
Quezalcoatal has card refine which lets you get items from cards, and 5 or 10 of the Borg (if I remember right) turns into an item to teach card to a GF.
Quistis can also get several of her more powerful limits before even fighting Ifrit.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO _NOT_ LEVEL IF POSSIBLE. _ALL_ enemies scale off level so a level 7-9 can _DECIMATE_ everything in game. and Stat boost items can be refined later in game for pretty cheap.
Also the ONLY characters you should max level are the guest characters since the game will averages levels across the entire party, and since they are guest characters they take their levels with them.
5 level 50s = 250 ÷ 5 = avLV 50
1 lv 100 + 4 level 10s = 140 ÷ 5 = avLV 28
this is important since HP for, say, T-Rexaur is 10, 363 or so at lowest possible level and ~76, 000 at LV100
and so on.

Also, it's more overpowered to stay low level and use clever junctioning than to hit 100

One thing about Ifrit that can make your characters OP is his ability STR Bonus. As you level up, it permanently adds 1 STR to your character. Eventually, you can max out your strength and not need to junction magic to it or add the STR + X% abilities. This can also be done with the other stats too.
