deleting 9, 7 gigs turns out made a huge impact. my laptop used to making this weird noises, and now they're gone, like bye gone. cheers!

i followed your steps, cleared 20mb, typed the comment below and am now back to 0mb of space. Is this normal? I have been known to loose a couple of gigs of space after clearing up the space, within 5 mins. Have you got any advise on trying to reclaim available space that disappears?
