So what do you do if have exhausted all solutions. Even the 3 in this video. The game still doesnt launch in Steam but heres the kicker. A few days ago was working just fine and I was playing it. Nothing has changed I have gotten no new updates on my PC to cause an issue. So now after wasting saved CoD points on a battle pass I can no longer play and CoD Support has yet to reach back to me. Im pissed to a point of refunding it from Steam on a game I enjoy and was loving the new Zombies.

Don’t know if this has been listed in the comments yet or not but for me, I had to uninstall a Controller re-mapping program that I used for a different game call of duty completely blocks it so even if it’s installed and not running, it will automatically close the gameto uninstall the remapping software completely, including all its config and profile files and then restart your PC and it should run. That’s what worked for me.

A week iam trying to solve the issue with reinstalling the game twice..update all driver...doing all method entire ways in youtube video but none of that is works for me.. But just now by "deleting Call of duty folder in the document" with "setup Use default (On) in WINDOWS SECURITY" the problem solve like a charm ....thankyou bro ....

There's no compatibility option when I go to change the settings in the files. I'm on Windows 11

The thing that worked for me is that I formated windows 10 and installed windows 11 !!!! that's all I had to do. I didn't have to do all these browsing, setting compatibily, loading as administrator etc... I tried all that on windows 10 and nothing worked for me. Yesterday I was installing windows 11, did all the windows updates, updated game drivers, I did all the simple things we usually do after installing new operating system.
So, I hope this info can help someone out there !!
Go and upgrade your system to windows 11 and see if it works for you. (of course save all of your important files on some other disks first)

Preordered mw3 just for it not to work on the campaign early access (still isn’t working) I’ve been trying to get it to work for soo soo long I’m really hoping that moving the game will work, this is my last hope. Everything i’ve done hasn’t worked. I just don’t have time to be messing with it, wish me luck.

Just in case this did not work for any of you make sure to uninstall ReWASD because I assume that Activision sees it as a cheat and that prevents the game from running. I did this and I was struggling with this issue for a while.

I was having an issue with mw3 failing to log on to steam on launch, how I fixed it, I ran a validation check on the files through steam that check determined there was 70 corrupted files and we added to the queue to be downloaded again took 2 minutes and boom game fixed

I end up to uninstall the game for multiple times & Still having same issue ..

The only legit fix that worked for me was downclocking my cpu from 5.5-6ghz to 5.0ghz max and now the game works with no crashes at all. I was constantly getting directx errors.
