The Hoods of Chicago in Watch Dogs (featuring O'Block) (South Side Chicago)

In this cinematic video, I take a tour of the Wards district of Chicago in Ubisoft's 2014 video game Watch Dogs. This area is based on parts of the real-life South Side in Chicago and even features its own version of the Parkway Garden Homes (otherwise known as O'Block), where a lot of prominent drill rappers originated, including King Von and Chief Keef.

As the birthplace of the drill sub-genre of rap music, I thought it was fitting to have a drill beat in the background of the video. Enjoy!

Im from Chicago. Nothing in the game resembles oblock. Idk why people not from Chicago think oblock is the only projects/bad area. Also, most people dont know, oblock isnt actually public housing. Just apartments. In the game, Rossi-Fremont (in game located in the southside) is loosely based after Cabrini-Green, that was located in the Northside of Chicago, torn down in the 2000s. The other projects in the game (the ones you can see but cant go in) are loosely based after the Grace Abbot Homes, Rockwell Gardens, and Henry Horner Homes. All of those were torn down in the 90s, 2000s, and were located on the Westside of Chicago.

Bro fr a Roleplay multiplayer of this game should be made because I wanna do a Chicago RP on Watch Dogs but they probably won't make a RP version of this :( there is only a Chicago RP in GTA FiveM and a new Chicago game called "Tru Or Die Chiraq"

As a person who has always been fascinated by housing projects, I gotta say, this is a dope vid. Awesomely made, great cinematography.
