Dream Chaser is the same old technology, improved but not very innovated. The landing gear appears to be kind of fragile, complete with an abrasive "skid-plate" in front. Reminds me of an old-fashioned, unpowered, child's, wooden, go-cart, with a sawed-off wooden 2X4 for a brake, that was pushed down with your foot to meet the asphalt...a Fred Flintstone-style child's-toy, technology, although Fred used his feet to stop. Yes, I know the skid-plate on Dream Chaser is a replacement for a wheel, perhaps a wheel took up too much space. I just hope the landing gear doesn't malfunction.

Landing a rocket, with the means of propulsion, braking the craft is closer to what will happen, eventually, when your craft is "rocketing" through space at a tremendous speed, and needs to slow down at a rate that won't kill you, with its "gravity" force.

After that, ships will be using a different means of propulsion, that will transport us to distant stars...something that no one has yet invented.

It's not only FASCINATION. However, "Dream Chazer" had been the enchiladas of HOT-subject while back in Alpha-Tech. In re: apparently the looks of Tenacity, like little manifold of Spacecraft? In addition, the absence of booster? My first clue is the rocketry of fusion❓️
Here I am being a classic case of Space Cadet put my brain "frozen."
Till, a customer of urs like I do here on YouTube vs. dressing ourselves as "followers of urs and Elon Musk." He injected the word "fusion."
ADVIDARN❗️we came up the same answer. Fusion rocket 🚀 like Dream Chazer cld potentially achieved much higher speeds and travel further distance thn the old traditional chem rockets 🚀.
It's jst a thought.

It's cute, but tiny. It's no space shuttle, and you could probably fit 4 of them in the cargo bay of a Starship. So, it might have its place for little jobs, and that's good. SpaceX may even give them a lift to orbit. It may even be better than a Dragon, if it works safely and reliably.

Dream Chaser does NOT have it's own booster. That is what going to keep it on the unless it can contract with SpaceX for Falcon Heavy or Super Heavy booster. But that requires FAA and NASA certify more of SpaceX boosters for human launches.

The smaller 'space shuttle' will be more robust and easier to maintain than the 80's shuttle. Less costly to launch. I think it's a cool concept.Perhaps 20 yrs to develop but this is a private company without taxpayer advantage of NASA.
