Thank you 😊. This video saved me from a mental breakdown. I was learning quadratic equations, and this popped out of nowhere in the textbook solutions 😂. BTW, what do you call that a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b) equation?
Is it part of those basic equations in algebra like (a+b)²=a²+b²+2ab? I remember that there were quite a lot of them back in my class. Are they important? And how many are there? Should I memorise them? Please help me. Thank you

Thank god, Our teacher instead of teaching our class how to do this type of thing we are required to watch these videos from the early 2000s on how the solve these problems, however, there are two huge problems with that. First, the teacher on that video explains things so poorly that it's almost impossible to understand how to solve the equation (the videos over-complicate things and don't show their work so I'll see numbers coming out of mid-air and it would be so confusing. Second, our teacher also requires us to take notes from the video and put them in this binder that apparently "covers" the content from the video (in reality the video covers less than 10% of the information I need to complete the notes for the binder and she said, "if the video doesn't cover the information you need for the binder figure it out yourself". So now I have to go to Youtube to try and learn the steps on how to solve these equations so I can have a complete and not confusing set of notes.
From what I have experienced from this class in the past month I think our teacher has basically given up on teaching.
