This video saved us! The AC company gave us this same make and model as a loaner and he left the hose in our living room said it sucks the hot air in and the cool air comes out! The house got so hot I knew he messed up! Your video was so detailed I was able to put the hose out the window so the hot air wasn’t blowing inside our home! Best Tutorial! Thank you!

As somebody who is not the least bit handy, I was getting so frustrated trying to set this thing up by myself. I gave up for the day, but this excellent video has given me the confidence to try again. If I actually get it up and running, Toshiba will owe you some money, because I was about ready to return it!

I was gifted this unit from my last roommate who wasn’t going to need it anymore and didn’t want to take it with her. My new roommate can’t sleep in the heat and we’re being warned of a possible 110° heat wave.

Newsflash: the temperatures weather people now report are “in the shade, ” folks. So that would be equivalent to 120° in the sun/not in the shade.

If anybody here is old (66) like me, you remember the days when they used to differentiate and report both the temperatures in the sun and in the shade.

Now they just report the high and the low temperature (in the shade) without qualifying for our edification.

As a result, a lot more people aren’t ready for just how hot it’s going to get on a hot, hot, hot day anymore.

Which equals more people, kids and pets especially, facing the dangers of a hot car, more of us unprepared to adequately hydrate and provide brain-cooling critical clean carbohydrates (like a fresh orange or apple) on a hike, therefore a greater number of disastrous outcomes.

Be aware, be prepared. All the best to all of you. 💐💕💫

Man this helps mine arrived today and I was about to go to Home Depot to buy a longer drain hose thinking it needed to be run out my window. Now I know I can just drain it into an empty milk jug, you are the man. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

71 yrs old and following your video, installed my Toshiba this morning. TY for better instructions than the pamphlet.
I did have a problem w which insulation strips to use as the thin ones did not fill in the gaps well, especially the narrower pieces of trim that had the little holes for the pegs (which I only had three, but used some small screws to fix that.) As insurance I purchased three pkgs of extra insulation and used some me of that. TY for showing the steps making it seem simple.
As a side….that sticky stuff is no joke!
