Anyone who uses a keyboard and mouse to play, I would recommend trying to pull the fishing rod with the movement keys. I had a really hard time catching anything before I switched to WASD for pulling, not sure if it's my mouse or not. But I think it's something to try for people that have a hard time.

Also another tip about pondies, you can catch them in the pool at sea forts. Skeletons, phantoms, and ocean crawlers can spawn on normal islands when you’re trying to fish, and nothing else spawns at an empty sea fort, so definitely go to a sea fort and fish for pondies after you clear it out

Here's an audio clue to recognize when yer line is about to break...when yer clicking/reeling sound starts to CLACK stop reeling and pull as normal. Then you can repeat...when the CLACKING starts you stop for a second, and then carry on. As to cooking...we can't fully rely on graphix changes/sequences to know when our catch is done. But we can rely on the eye's...when they fully cloud over count 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand then grab yer fish. Walla! Done perfectly! Michael...OG PRIVATEER.

"Treacherous Plunder" is missing. You can catch Ashen Keys, old Boots and other trash by fishing without a bait. The Plunder is actually really rare. Even with the pond glitch at Tribute Peak, which might have been my 2 most boring sessions I ever had.
